Zest Mediterranean Cuisine: Discover Authentic Mediterranean Flavors in Folsom

The food here is outstanding! I love the chicken kabobs and the family loves the gyro and shawarma. A must try!

A Mediterranean cuisine place, if not fairly to say " The Mediterranean place" Mediterranean cuisine, cooked by arabs, mostly Lebanese. Very nice owner and staff. The owner is there everday, working with his staff proudly with a beautiful welcoming smile. The dishes include a varity of BBQ options with beef, lamb and fish. The arabic famous fatoush salad is to die for, falafel, kebba, hummus, tahine and baba ghannoj are some of the vegan and vegetarian offerings and alot more type of salads. They have beautiful and tasety offerings of arabic sweets. And there turkish (Arabic) Coffee is something you should try after a feasty meal. If you are not a coffee person, then try tea with mint. The prices arent cheap, but not steep. There is a huge value for money considering the high quality offered. The place is ranked in "Yelp" top 100 resturants. And its rated 5 stars by your's truly, Wally Jo, and thats down there is my THUMBS-UP

Hmm ...the lamb kabobs at Zest Mediterranean eatery in Folsom, CA, looked and tasted different from my prior visits. A few weeks ago, I ordered the lamb kabob plate $23.99 to go which is my usual order. But the lamb pieces were tough. Chewy. Each piece was like that. Ohhh what happened?!? My previous orders had tender and moist, flavorful cuts. So it seems they need to work on consistency. Not sure if the cuts were properly butchered against the grain to get the most tender cuts. The plate came with side plate of Mediterranean salad, hummus, bread and rice pilaf. All of that was delicious and visually beautiful. The salad was a a good serving size with fresh ingredients and topped with a touch of sumac. Yes. The dressing was darn delicious. The hummus was fantastic. The pilaf was light and fluffy, flavorful. The tzatziki was refreshing and served chilled. The pita bread was super thin and flat. Different take from most other eateries. The interior is clean but not giving off modern vibes. Basic interior. The service is counter service with the food brought out to you. It was warm inside as I sat and waited for my order. The AC was limping along on this mild summer day.

The chicken schwarma plate was delicious. Generous portion of chicken and rice plus pita bread, side of hummus, tasty side salad. The Greek salad was also delicious. Everything was fresh and O! so tasty. The owner is so friendly and hospitable, and one of the young men working there carried my order to the car for me, as I use a walker. Their baklava is very good. Pistachios instead of walnuts and not as sweet as Greek baklava, which I like very much. This is our favorite restaurant in Folsom, for several years now.

Zest is my go to when I'm craving Mediterranean cuisine! I am a creature of habit so I always get the same thing and I'm never disappointed. Chicken kabob plate which comes with two generous and delicious chicken kabobs, a huge portion of rice (enough for lunch the next day) a fresh greek salad with dressing on the side, hummus and a creamy garlic sauce + pita bread! Such a great value and so incredibly good! I also always order a large Lentil soup, it's the best you'll ever have, my whole family loves it!

The best Mediterranean cuisine in Folsom! This food is to die for!!!! I cannot wait to go back. If your looking for a gem, Zest is it! Great food! Not greasy! Great customer service!!!! Amazing!

This place is amazing! The plates are big enough for 2 people! Everything was packed with flavor. Their babaganoush is so fresh! The best babaganoush I've had EVER.

I still love yall to bits cause I love the Gyro wrap! - But if I take you guys up on the BOGO salad for takeout; I'm gonna get the dressing on the side. This most recent experience, I was given a salad that was swimming in it's dress. So much so that it was spewing into the bag. I was trying to be a good sport and eat what I could. But the acidity and flavor became overbearing. So I had to stop. Which I should have stopped a lot sooner... because at about 1 a.m. I was woken up out a dead sleep to my stomach bubbling up like a witches brew. Resulting in one of the most burning vomit episodes I've ever vomited in my whole 36 years.
